PayPal alleges that PayTm copied it's logo

PayPal has filed a case against Paytm for alleged trademark infringement.

The logo might look different but the colors used are more or less the same. As both the entities are in the same industry i.e payments the case would be treated with more attention and detail.

The recent rise of Paytm due to demonetization in India, would have been the cause for the case filed by the California company PayPal which was initially founded by Elon Musk and later sold. PayPal was one of the initial pioneers of the online payment industry and payment wallets mainly.

Cisco claims Arista copied it's Command Line Interface (CLI)

Arista has won the battle over  Cisco's infringement accusation.

In Cisco's blog it has said that
"By contrast, the extent of Arista’s copying of our CLI sets them apart from others in the industry. They have directly lifted more than 500 multi-word command line expressions. By comparison, networking products from HP, Brocade, Alcatel-Lucent, Juniper Networks and Extreme each have only a small fraction of overlapping commands."

John Oliver looks like Vector Perkins

After posting the post on Gru and John, I ended up watching "Despicable Me" movie again.

I noticed that the villain Vector Perkins, looks very much like John Oliver. I do like John Oliver's "Last week tonight show"  and watch it without fail. However the resemblance never occurred to me till day. If you haven't watched the movie or the show; you should watch it right now.

"Martian" and the "Red Planet"

Image result for the martian movie

Image result for red planet movie

So I happened to watch Red Planet movie recently and couldnt help but notice a wide range of similarities between in the Martian Movie starring Matt Damon and the Red Planet movie. For starters, it is about a group of astronomers doing research on the forsaken planet mars. When things go south they need to rely on their basic human instincts for survival. I liked both the movies, they are different in their own way.

Reddit user darthstrayder has summarised all the similarities I could possibly think off.

Similarities:
  • Female mission commanders
  • Crew of six
  • Pre-launch HABs
  • HAB explosions
  • Crew stranded on Mars
  • Radio communications re-established using Pathfinder
  • Long travel between past and future Mars mission locations
  • Relaunch into orbit using existing rocket that must be stripped down
  • Relaunch causes front of vehicle to be exposed
  • Relaunch fainting
  • Retrieval in orbit using tether by lead commander
  • Crew member love interest sub-plot
