If you have seen the latest Godzilla movie you would notice that THE MUTO
“ MUTO: Massive Unidentified Terrestrial Organism. It is, however, no longer terrestrial; it is airborne"
— Admiral Stenz about the M.U.T.O.s (Godzilla)
The M.U.T.O.s are able to unleash electromagnetic pulses from their claws, which can disable electric apparatuses in a wide radius.

Where else do we see a similar thing?
that's right the Batman Movie Dark Knight Rises.
Batman uses a handheld EMP "gun" to turn out the lights and disable the motorcycle of a fleeing criminal. While it seems far-fetched, real EMP weapons do already exist. They were used in a limited fashion during the Gulf War, mainly to disrupt enemy electronics systems by upping the voltage within the wiring to dangerous levels.
So where does IronMan fit into this post? (this might be lame)
I know not much its just that his hand Repulsor lights up and then fires, same as MUTO's
So there u have it
