Adele stole lyrics from Tom Waits

Adele's recent single Hello
was accused of stealing lyrics from Tom Wait's 1973 song Martha.

The lyrics are not a complete rip off , the song plays around the same story line i.e calling up a old flame and wondering if they would like to meet up for coffee.

Lyrics to "Hello" song by ADELE: Hello, it's me I was wondering if after all these years you'd like to meet To go over everything

Lyrics to "Martha" by Tom Waits
Hello, hello there, is this Martha? This is old Tom Frost And I am calling long distance Don't worry 'bout the cost 'Cause it's been forty years or more Now Martha please recall Meet me out for coffee Where we'll talk about it all

Well to me it seems quiet normal nothing to be accused of plagiarism, there are many songs on the same storyline like

Hinder - Lips Of An Angel - YouTube and many more which I am not able to recall

By the way , you must check out the parody by Key of Awesome on Adele's Hello. Its hilarious!!
